Welcome to Sea Cadets! A key part of the life of over 400 communities across the nation, Sea Cadets offers a diverse range of programmes that develop nautical skills and leadership through enriching activities and adventure.

As proud signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant, we're delighted to be working with Defence Relationship Management (DRM) to foster strong alliances with organisations that can support the defence community. Our commitment lies in nurturing a network that influences and increases the opportunities available to our 14,000 cadets and 9,000 volunteers – thus improving Sea Cadets’ ability to support the Armed Forces Family.

Your organisation could play a crucial role in empowering our cadets to achieve their full potential – and the strength of support we receive has a direct impact on the number of young people who can benefit from the Sea Cadets Experience.

There are so many ways to get involved:

  • Your financial support could fund everything from essential uniforms to the purpose-built facilities that help make our activities more accessible to a wider range of young people and community partners.

  • Your mentoring expertise could deliver leadership coaching for volunteers or facilitate apprenticeships and work placements for cadets.

  • Your contacts and resources could help cadets access vital equipment – for instance, through the donation, loan or sponsorship of boats and minibuses.

  • Your employees could become valued Sea Cadets volunteers – with a variety of flexible roles available: from teaching first aid or instructing powerboating, to supporting well-drilled parades or becoming a unit trustee.

As you build your engagement with Sea Cadets, you’ll find even more opportunities to help develop young people while upskilling your employees:

  • Support our training courses in boating, sailing, aviation, adventure training, marine engineering, leadership & teamwork, and many more.

  • Be a partner in spectacular events and competitions, from community celebrations and sailing regattas to our National Trafalgar Day Parade in Trafalgar Square.

  • Enhance our educational programmes by supporting modules in STEM, the environment and cybersecurity, or by helping our cadets achieve DofE awards and BTEC qualifications.

  • Help to fund the bursaries that allow disadvantaged young people to enjoy life-changing experiences, from offshore voyages to summer camps.
